Open-Sky Placement for a Garden Compound, Clear of Every Tree

What we did

This compound is surrounded by tall trees, but the middle of the lawn has a wide, open view of the sky. That is where the dish went.

Chose the open centre of the lawn, away from the tree line

Set the dish on its base on firm ground

Ran the cable along the paving to the building

Our work

Dish on the roof ridge between the solar panels, router in a wall-mounted box, and a ceiling access point to carry Wi-Fi through the house.

Installer up the ladder to the roof of a two-storey home, dish on the roof slope, router by the desk. Tested at 121 Mbps.

Dish set on a flat parapet above the roof line, clear of the buildings next door, and tested at 91 Mbps.
