The short answer
ZuraLink Limited’s current price for a new Starlink Mini kit is ₦480,000, and it runs on our small business plan at ₦89,000 a month, a Starlink Priority plan with unlimited data. Prices move with the exchange rate, so check our Starlink price guide for Nigeria before you pay.
The Mini is on sale in Nigeria now. It is a laptop-sized dish with Wi-Fi built in, draws 25–40 W on average, and suits small homes, travel and backup.
What is the Starlink Mini?
The Mini is Starlink’s smallest dish, about the size and weight of a laptop. Unlike the Standard kit, the Wi-Fi router is built into the dish itself. There is no router box indoors: one cable runs from the power supply to the dish, and your phones connect to the dish’s Wi-Fi directly. There are no motors; you turn it to match the alignment guide in the Starlink app.
Some names cause confusion. The Router Mini is a separate small Wi-Fi 6 router, not a dish. The Mini X kit (a Mini plus a Router Mini) appeared in 2026 in Latin America, Europe and the UK, but a June 2026 price check found only the Standard and the Mini on sale in Nigeria. “V4” and “Gen 3” are names for the Standard dish, so a “V4 Mini” is simply the Mini.

How much is the Starlink Mini in Nigeria?
Starlink’s website lists the Mini at ₦318,000, the Standard kit at ₦590,000 and Residential at ₦57,000 a month. In most locations, though, Residential is not open to new customers and kits at those prices are rarely available. What you can actually get today is a kit for immediate pickup at our prices, on a small business plan at ₦89,000 a month.
Here is what a Mini costs from us today if you set it up yourself, using a Port Harcourt flat as the example. These are ZuraLink Limited’s current prices, not Starlink’s.
| Item | Our price |
|---|---|
| Starlink Mini kit | ₦480,000 |
| Activation | ₦50,000 |
| Delivery (Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt) | ₦40,000 |
| First month on our small business plan | ₦89,000 |
| Total upfront (our prices) | ₦659,000 |
The working: ₦480,000 + ₦50,000 + ₦40,000 + ₦89,000 = ₦659,000, then ₦89,000 a month. Starlink also charges its own activation fee in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and some other areas. The amount changes from time to time and comes on top of our prices; we confirm it before you pay. Delivery elsewhere in Nigeria can be up to about ₦100,000. If you want our installers to fix it in place, add ₦120,000 for installation, plus ₦120,000 if it needs a wall or pivot mount.
Which plans can the Mini use?
The same Starlink plans as the Standard kit:
- Priority: Starlink’s business plans, and what most new customers in Nigeria get. Our small business plan (₦89,000 a month) is a Priority plan with unlimited data: on the Nigerian accounts we sell and manage, once its priority data is used up, the service carries on with unlimited standard data at lower network priority. Starlink’s standard terms let a Local Priority plan be used anywhere on land in the country of service; use while moving still needs approval.
- Residential: Starlink’s home plan for one fixed address, with unlimited data, but closed to new customers in most locations, including Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. Move the dish away from your service address and the app reports “Unexpected Location” and service stops.
- Roam: for people who move around; Starlink’s standard terms allow up to two months at a time in another country. It sits below Residential on network priority, so it can be slower at busy times. Our guide to Starlink Roam in Nigeria covers the rules.
Our Starlink subscription guide explains the plans in full. Two cautions. A Mini needs an active plan: without one, the app shows “Restricted” and only Starlink’s own pages load. And if you already have Residential, think before pausing it or switching it to Roam, because you may not get it back. Starlink’s standard terms say pausing with Standby Mode (where it is offered) does not guarantee you can sign back up for Residential, and guides report that switching back from Roam only works where Residential has open capacity.
What can you use a Starlink Mini for in Nigeria?
- A small flat or self-contained apartment: one to three people with phones, a laptop and a smart TV.
- Backup for fibre or 5G: when the main line drops, the Mini keeps calls and email going, and a small inverter can carry it for hours.
- Travel and site visits: it fits in a backpack, sets up in minutes where there is no network, and can run from a parked vehicle’s 12 V supply or a large power bank.
- In a vehicle: Starlink’s standard terms forbid use while moving unless Starlink has approved the kit, mount and country, and we have not seen that confirmed for Nigeria. Our guide to using Starlink in a car with 12 V power and power banks covers the details.
For a large family house, a duplex, an office with many staff or heavy streaming on several TVs, choose the Standard kit instead.
Can I use the Starlink Mini at home?
Yes, on our small business plan or, if you already have one, a Residential plan at your home address. The real question is whether its Wi-Fi reaches every room. Starlink rates the Mini’s Wi-Fi at about 112 m² and 128 devices. The Router 3 in our Standard (Gen 3) kit is rated at about 297 m² and 235 devices, on the newer Wi-Fi 6.
Remember where the Mini’s Wi-Fi starts: at the dish, outside. Indoors, the signal must pass through block walls, a concrete slab or a roof, and each one cuts range. With the dish just outside a small flat’s window, that is fine. In a two-storey house it usually is not.
You can add a Starlink Router Mini indoors as a mesh node (Starlink says a wired link works best, using its 15 m Mini Ethernet cable), or choose the Standard kit, whose router sits indoors from day one. Our Starlink Mini vs Standard comparison sets the two side by side, and our guide to how many devices can connect to Starlink explains what the device limits mean in daily use.
Indoors or through a window? Starlink’s guides say the dish needs a clear view of the sky and name a roof among the things that cause interruptions, so plan to put it outside. See our page on whether Starlink can work indoors or through a window.
How much power does the Starlink Mini use?
Starlink gives the Mini’s average power use as 25–40 W, Wi-Fi included: about a third of the Standard kit’s 75–100 W. There is no battery inside. It runs from the supplied power supply (100–240 V AC, so NEPA, an inverter or a generator), from 12–48 V DC, or from USB-C through Starlink’s USB-C cable, which needs a source that can supply at least 100 W at 20 V. Many power banks cannot, so check the label.
On the same battery, the Mini runs about 2.5 to 3 times longer than the Standard. The working: 75 W ÷ 25 W = 3, and 100 W ÷ 40 W = 2.5. For inverter, solar and battery sizing, see our guide to running Starlink without NEPA.
One caution for Nigerian rooftops: there are reports of the Mini overheating in strong direct sun, and its rated operating range stops at 50 °C. Give it open air around it.
Where to buy a Starlink Mini in Nigeria, and how to set it up
You can buy a Starlink Mini from ZuraLink Limited with delivery to all 36 states and the FCT, and same-day delivery in most locations. In Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt you pay on delivery; elsewhere it is a 50% deposit and 50% on completion, by bank transfer only. Starlink also sells kits directly online. Treat an opened Mini from Jiji.ng or a market as used: it may still be on someone else’s account, and they must transfer it before you can activate it.
Check availability first. New customers usually get a Priority plan such as our small business plan, and before you pay, we check what Starlink is offering at your exact address.
Setting up a Starlink Mini
- Pick a spot outside with a wide, clear view of the sky, away from trees and water tanks, and confirm it with the obstruction check in the Starlink app.
- Open the kickstand, or fix the dish with the supplied pipe adapter and flat mount.
- Connect the 15 m DC cable between the dish and the power supply, and plug in.
- Join the Wi-Fi network the Mini creates, open the Starlink app and set your own network name and password.
- Turn the dish until the app’s alignment guide shows it is aligned. Do not aim by compass.
- Activate at starlink.com/activate with the kit number from the box label, your service address and a plan.
Our Starlink activation service can handle the account side; the kit is usually live about 30 minutes after payment.
In the box: the Mini, kickstand, pipe adapter and flat mount, 15 m DC power cable, power supply and the Starlink Plug (an Ethernet port cover). No Ethernet cable is included. Starlink’s extras include wall and pivot mounts, a car adapter, a 15 m Mini Ethernet cable and a travel case; ask us what is in stock.

Starlink Mini FAQs
When will the Starlink Mini be available in Nigeria?
It already is. The Mini has been on sale in Nigeria since at least April 2025.
Is the Starlink Mini worth it?
For a small flat, travel, site work or backup, yes: it costs less upfront and uses far less power. For a big house or a busy office, the Standard’s indoor router is worth the extra.
How fast is the Starlink Mini in Nigeria?
We know of no official Nigerian speed figure for the Mini. Speed depends on your plan, local congestion and the sky view, so run the speed test in the Starlink app once it is set up.
Does the Starlink Mini come with a router?
The router is built into the dish, so there is no separate box. You can add a Router Mini later if the Wi-Fi does not reach every room.
Who sells the Starlink Mini near me?
We deliver and install anywhere in Nigeria, from offices in Ikeja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, with installers who travel to every state.
